The Start of Prohibition Anniversary* is by no means a Sausagefest Holiday! Instead, we celebrate the Repeal of Prohibition. Since Prohibition lasted for 13 years and had a profound effect on the country we recognize it but do not celebrate it.

*This is a mere footnote to the Sausagefest Holiday Calendar. As you enjoy your favorite adult beverage today, take a moment to appreciate that Prohibition is no longer in effect.
